In 2018, the biennial conference fromt the CORE TECHNOLOGIES FOR LIFE SCIENCES (CTLS)  The conference there will focuse on all facets of core facility operations, management and specific technologies of interest to core facility staff. Keynote talks will be given by 2001 Nobel laureate Paul Nurse and by Frances Weis-Garcia (President of ABRF). Poster sessions will be held to allow core scientists to present new developments in their technologies and a core facility marketplace area will also be available for facilities to promote their expertise and services. 

P.Schmitt from CELPHEDIA-PHENOMIN will present the French Infrastructure as a reference center for animal research on rare disease. Do not hesitate to meet him during the poster session to understand how the best animal model can acelerate the comprehension of our genome and of human diseases.

CTLS2018@VIB aims to offer core facility staff and those interested in careers as expert scientists an opportunity to learn, network and forge alliances to strengthen core facility science throughout Europe.
