A constitutive Knock-In is a model engineered to carry a cDNA sequence coding for a protein in a selected locus.

1. The protein coding sequence will be expressed under the control of the endogenous promoter.
2. The protein coding sequence is expected to be expressed with the same pattern than the endogenous gene.
3. This modification will also lead to the inactivation of the endogenous allele.
